Traditional cable and satellite television are no longer the only ways to watch live TV. Streaming-based television services have made it possible to watch familiar channels through an internet connection while also adding features such as recording, pausing, restarting, and on-demand entertainment.
waipu.tv is a German TV streaming platform built around this idea. It combines live television, HD channels, recording features, on-demand content, and multi-device streaming in different subscription packages. Depending on the plan, users can access more than 300 TV channels, Pay-TV content, cloud recording, and the waiputhek library.
About waipu.tv
waipu.tv is designed to provide a complete television experience through the internet rather than relying on a traditional cable or satellite connection.
Users can watch television through compatible Smart TVs, smartphones, tablets, computers, and dedicated devices such as the waipu.tv 4K Stick or waipu.tv Box. The platform also includes features intended to make live TV more flexible, including pausing programs, restarting ongoing broadcasts, recording selected content, and receiving personalized TV recommendations.
What Does waipu.tv Offer?
waipu.tv offers several packages aimed at different viewing habits. The main options include Start, Comfort, and Perfect Plus, with additional combinations available that bundle services such as Netflix, Disney+, WOW, or dedicated streaming hardware.
The exact package features and promotional prices can change, so the current offer should always be checked before subscribing.
Comfort Package
The Comfort package provides more than 240 channels and includes HD access to public broadcasters and New-TV channels. It also offers pause functionality, recording, 50 hours of recording storage, and up to two simultaneous streams.
The package can be cancelled monthly through the customer account after its applicable terms.
Perfect Plus
Perfect Plus is the more comprehensive television package.
It includes more than 300 channels, more than 70 Pay-TV channels, Full HD television, pause and restart functions, recording, 150 hours of recording storage, the waiputhek on-demand library, and up to four simultaneous streams.
The waiputhek provides access to more than 40,000 films, series, and shows available on demand.
Live TV and Channel Selection
One of waipu.tv’s main attractions is its combination of traditional television channels and streaming functionality.
The Perfect Plus package currently offers more than 300 channels in Full HD, including more than 70 Pay-TV channels. The selection includes major public and private broadcasters alongside additional entertainment and thematic channels.
This makes the platform relevant for households that still want access to regular live television but prefer receiving it through an internet connection.
Recording, Pause and Restart Features
waipu.tv adds several features that are not available in the same way with basic live television.
Depending on the package, users can record programs and watch them later. Perfect Plus includes 150 hours of recording storage, while Comfort includes 50 hours. Users can also pause or restart supported broadcasts.
There are some restrictions, however. Recording availability can depend on licensing agreements, meaning certain programs or channels may have limited recording functionality. Some recordings also have specific retention periods.
Watching on Multiple Devices
Another important part of waipu.tv is multi-device viewing.
An account can have up to five registered devices. The number of devices that can stream simultaneously depends on the package. Comfort supports up to two simultaneous streams, while Perfect Plus supports up to four.
For families, this can make the service more flexible because different members can watch different programs on supported devices at the same time.
waipu.tv Stick and Box
People without a compatible Smart TV can use dedicated hardware to bring waipu.tv to their television.
The waipu.tv 4K Stick and waipu.tv Box are designed specifically for the service and connect to the TV. The installation process is designed to guide users through setup step by step.
This gives users another way to turn a compatible television setup into an internet-based TV experience without depending entirely on built-in Smart TV functionality.
waiputhek and On-Demand Entertainment
Live TV is only part of the service.
The waiputhek provides a large collection of on-demand films, series, and shows. Perfect Plus currently advertises more than 40,000 on-demand titles, giving users an alternative to watching everything according to a traditional broadcast schedule.
waipu.tv also offers packages that combine television with other entertainment services, including Netflix and Disney+ options. Availability and promotional pricing depend on the specific package.
waipu.tv Pricing
The platform offers several pricing levels and promotional packages.
The current regular monthly prices listed by waipu.tv include €7.49 for Comfort and €14.99 for Perfect Plus. Hardware bundles and entertainment combinations have different prices, while promotional offers can temporarily reduce the monthly cost.
For example, Perfect Plus can also be purchased with a longer minimum term at a reduced price, while certain annual bundles combine waipu.tv with services such as Netflix or Disney+. Users should check the current package terms because promotions, minimum contract periods, and regular prices can change.

Who Is waipu.tv Best For?
waipu.tv can be particularly useful for people who want traditional television channels without relying on a conventional cable or satellite setup.

People who already use services such as Netflix or Disney+ may also be interested in the available combination packages.
Is waipu.tv Worth It?
waipu.tv offers more than a basic live-TV streaming service. Its higher-tier packages combine a large channel selection with Full HD streaming, Pay-TV, recording storage, simultaneous streams, and a substantial on-demand library.
The Perfect Plus package is particularly feature-rich, offering more than 300 channels, 150 hours of recording storage, more than 70 Pay-TV channels, more than 40,000 on-demand titles, and up to four simultaneous streams.
The main consideration is whether you need these additional features. Someone who only watches a limited number of channels may prefer a simpler package, while households that want a broader TV selection, recordings, multiple streams, and on-demand entertainment may find the larger packages more suitable.
Final Verdict
waipu.tv brings live television and streaming features together in one internet-based platform. Its combination of traditional channels, Full HD viewing, recording, pause and restart functions, multi-device access, and on-demand entertainment gives viewers more flexibility than conventional scheduled television.
